Easy formula for days you feel big and blah

Pregnant women are glowing, perfectly proportioned, and adorable. However, we all know we don't wake up everyday feeling our best or most confident. We are faced with a choice on those down days: cover up in baggy clothes and run with that vibe for the day OR dress up to boost our own mood when we catch glimpses passing by windows.

On the days I'm determined to make myself feel better, I have a go-to outfit combo that always perks me up and brings back my vibrancy! The basic formula is simple: loose skirt with a crop top (bonus points if it splits in the front for the fluttery fairy effect around the belly!).

I love how the knee length of the skirt is so loose and comfortable and this top shows off my belly in a way that makes it OBVIOUS that I am pregnant (I know it shouldn't matter but I'm not gonna lie, my self esteem worries about if people think I'm pregnant or just overweight). Now let me stop anyone who is ready to fly to the comments about my vanity and insecurity and self image issues....

I AM ALLOWED TO BE INSECURE AND CARE ABOUT HOW I LOOK, EVEN WHILE PREGNANT!

I am not going to sit here being fake and act like I'm 100% happy with my body image throughout my pregnancies... I am human and have good and bad days. Can we PLEASE stop telling women that they should ALWAYS be happy with their bodies and love the job it's meant to do and blah blah blah...

I hope to support women even on their bad days, not invalidate their feelings and tell them they're wrong for having them. Personally, dressing in a way that shows off my body on my worst body image days actually helps me feel better than just hiding it. So, back to the outfit inspo.

You don't need this exact outfit to feel this good... any loose skirt (any length you're comfortable in!) will look great with crop tops or a button up top with the bottom half left unbuttoned.

Not feeling this combo or need something more formal? My second piece of advice is to GO BOOBALICIOUS! We all know one of the perks of pregnancy is some swelling up top so why not enjoy it while it lasts?? If I have to have the backache that comes with these melons then I want to gain the confidence from showing them off, too! I have plenty of summer dresses that accentuate the boobies but are flowy on the bottom for comfort so it's a perfect third trimester combo! Sorry I don't have more photos to share... I'm still new at this blogging thing so I will remember to document more next time!
